I am on my late 20’s who’s blessed with a very beautiful daughter. A mother, not a wife. I work nightshift, but please don’t quote me as a CALL-girl (one who works in a callcenter). I work for a BPO industry that is why I have to live with the fact that my timezone is US Central time rather than Philippine standard time. :) I’ve been nocturnal since college. I think I was really born to be a night person. I love the dark. The serenity of the night keeps me at my peace.

You can email me at sensitiverealm@yahoo.com. Life is short. Keep the good times roll. :)

Disturbia - Rihanna

What's wrong with me?
Why do I feel like this?
I'm going crazy now

No more gas in the red
Can't even get it started
Nothing heard, nothing said
Can't even speak about it
Out my life out my head
Don't want to think about it
Feels like I'm going insane
Yeah

It's a thief in the night
To come and grab you
It can creep up inside you
And consume you
A disease of the mind
It can control you
It's too close for comfort

Put on your brake lights
We're in the city of wonder
Ain't gonna play nice
Watch out, you might just go under
Better think twice
Your train of thought will be altered
So if you must falter be wise

Your minds in disturbia
It's like the darkness is the light
Disturbia
Am I scaring you tonight
Your minds in disturbia
Ain't used to what you like
Disturbia
Disturbia

Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum

Faded pictures on the wall
It's like they talkin' to me
Disconnected, no one calls
The phone don't even ring
I gotta get out
Or figure this shit out
It's too close for comfort

It's a thief in the night
To come and grab you
It can creep up inside you
And consume you
A disease of the mind
It can control you
I feel like a monster

Put on your brake lights
We're in the city of wonder
Ain't gonna play nice
Watch out, you might just go under
Better think twice
Your train of thought will be altered
So if you must falter be wise

Your minds in disturbia
It's like the darkness is the light
Disturbia
Am I scaring you tonight
Your minds in disturbia
Ain't used to what you like
Disturbia
Disturbia

Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum

Release me from this curse I'm in
Trying to maintain
But I'm struggling
If i can't go, go, go
I think I'm going to oh, oh, oh

Put on your brake lights
We're in the city of wonder
Ain't gonna play nice
Watch out, you might just go under
Better think twice
Your train of thought will be altered
So if you must falter be wise

Your minds in disturbia
It's like the darkness is the light
Disturbia
Am I scaring you tonight
Your minds in disturbia
Ain't used to what you like

Last October 31, we had a Halloween Celebration in the office. There was a contest for BEST DECORATED WORKSTATION and BEST SUPERHERO & VILLAIN Costume.

It was my first time to dress up for halloween in the office since I was on leave last year from November to December. It was really fun to see my teammates dress up like superheroes and villains. :) My team chose Peter Pan in Neverland vs Captain Hook (with his pirates). We decorated our work station with a boat for Captain Hook, and the tree house for Peter Pan. :) Everyone enjoyed taking pictures. There were also other characters portrayed like Anakin, Super Mario, and Harry Potter.

Our team won the 1st place for BEST DECORATED WORKSTATION. WUHooooOOOOoo! Of course, it's all about Team Spirit. Everyone in the team participated, no doubt about it, and to add.. we always LOVE what we do, especially if it's FOR THE TEAM!

Congrats Local CP!

Hola! I can't believe I woke up late today! 11:00AM is unusual wake up time for me. I didn't know I was that tired. All I can recall was I've attended a kick off party last night that ended at almost 1am.

I had a terrible tummy ache when I got up. I had to go to and fro the bathroom. ARGH! But ironically, the bathroom moment made me thought of some foods that I haven't eaten lately. And hmmmm, not to mention the memories bound to be kept forever.

Enumerated below are the foods that I really really miss..

1) CINNABON - As my friend Anne told me before, cinnamon helps uplifts the mood. Probably that's the reason why I love this food unconsciously.

2) LECHON CEBU - I am a certified BISAYA! No doubt why I love LECHON CEBU. The crispy skin of the roasted pig is mouth waterning! You can't help but ask for more.

3) SILVANAS - The best sweet after every meal, or even in between meals. I crave for not just an ordinary silvanas, but the Dumaguete ORIGINAL silvanas. Darn.. now I miss Dumaguete more..

4) Dumaguete TEMPURA - Aside from the fact that I miss eating tempura, it's the line of seats along Dumaguete Blvd that I really want to see again. I wish I could experience those old times after work, that we go to the TEMPURAHAN along the boulevard.

5) ISAW in UP - Who doesn't know about ISAW in UP?? The one near the post office is where I consider best place to east ISAW. I miss those times I eat ISAW in UP Diliman.

Well, there you have it. Anyone who share the same feeling that i have right now? Who amongst you also crave for any of the food on my list?

I had the opportunity to watch HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 courtesy of my company's MOVIE NIGHT sponsorship last night (October 24). I haven't seen the first two parts of this series.. so the characters were all strangers to me So funny that I've gotten to know Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay.. and so on and so forth for the first time .. knowing that this would be the last part of the High School Musical since all of them would go to College! LOL!

Seriously, it could've inspired me if I was a highschool student, or if i was somebody who is on early college years. The lines were somehow corny to me.. (well, don't grill me coz that was just my opinion) I know many others loved the team up of Troy and Gabriella.

In fairness to the cast, they're all lovely. They did a great performance.. from acting.. to singing.. to dancing. Nonetheless, the movie was entertaining!

BAMBOO - The name rings a bell. Of course I am referring to the band BAMBOO.. wuhoo! :) I have admired these guys, and I know that you do too! I just thought of posting something about them because I got hooked up with their new single KAILAN. The song has a deeper meaning about "WHEN DO WE START HAVING CHANGE.."

Anyways, I've posted the video below. Hope you enjoy it.. Click on the link for the LYRICS. Good Times!

I had this poem during one of our Youth Encounter Sessions way back in College. This is so inspiring.. read on..

Scarred People Are Beautiful

MAN SPEAKS:

I’ve seen a number of movies lately, Lord,
like Romeo and Juliet.
The love of young people, at least in those movies
is beautiful…...so simple… so total….so complicated.
They seem so natural, so free in their emotions,
so clear in their feelings.
I wish I could be like that, Lord, but it can’t be.
Why is it so?

I’ve been hurt, Lord.
I’ve trusted and been betrayed at times.
I’ve loved and received nothing in return.
I have tried hard to care and failed often.
I have shared my secrets and heard them whispered to others.
I have been warm and receive a cold shoulder.

I have been through it, Lord.
I’ve fallen on my face.
I’ve banged my shins.
I’ve been bruised.
Look, Lord, I’m all covered with scars!

THE LORD SPEAKS:

Maybe you haven’t understood enough; Maybe you haven’t learned
that human life is like that: All Saints are scarred.
Young love isn’t the highest form of human love. The greatest love
comes from scarred people.
I know that many people stop loving so that they won’t hurt again.
But those who do start over again, who continue inspite of
all, who leave themselves open to the possibility of being
hurt again – These people are able to love again
in a deeper way, a more understanding way, a richer way.

MAN’S RESPONSE:

I think I know what you mean, Lord, I’ve met people like that…
and knowing them gives me courage.
The great people are those who continue to love with their scars…
I like scarred people, Lord – They are beautiful..

I can't explain how I felt after LOCAL's team building last Oct 18&19, 2008. It's like a survivor type of activity, though everybody ended up a REAL SURVIVOR.

The team building venue was at FOREST CLUB in Laguna. The place was indeed like a forest with tall trees and luscious greenery. Our team stayed in 4 cottages. I felt so relaxed seeing the bamboo beds, native rocking chair, and all the native furniture and fixtures inside the cottage.

Our team building activities started past 3pm. We initially had 3 PINOY GAMES namely, FIND YOUR SPECIES, ULOPONG, and PATINTERO. Those games really brought back the childhood memories each and everyone had. After the pinoy games, we had the survival activities. All LOCAL members experienced log crossing, forest canopy walk, crossing a hanging bridge,  bamboo rafting, and mud crawling. These activities made me realize that nothing's impossible if you are determined to do it. Before the survival activities happened, I even thought I couldn't do some of it because my weight would be a hindrance. I was so negative at first. But when I saw how energetic everyone was during the activity itself, I got the motivation, and determination to conquer every obstacle that I was in. Thanks to all my LOCAL colleagues for the POSITIVE spirit!

We were all tired after the survival activities, but we all still managed to have our beers with VIDEOKE moment at sundown. It was so much fun with LOCAL. Everybody is always on the game; everyone is set to always put the best foot forward. That's how we keep our team rockin`. To LOCAL, cheers to more successful years ahead!

I checked Magic's Top 30 chart and from there I've downloaded some songs. I got hooked with one song that has a nice and cool tempo, not to mention the great lyrics.  I'm posting it here because I can really relate to it You can check out the song in my MUSIC page

"Happily Never After"

"I don't think I want this anymore, "
As she drops the ring to the floor.
She says to herself, "You've left before, " (yeah)
"This time you will stay gone, that's for sure." (yeah)

And he shattered something else
To drag her suitcase down the path,
To the driveway.
She had never gone that far.

Normally this would be
The time that she
Would let him talk her out of leaving,
But this time, without crying,
As she got into her car, she said,

[Chorus:]
"No
'Happily Never After'
That just ain't for me.
Because finally,
I know
I deserve better, after all (ooooh)
I'll never let another teardrop fall."

As she drove away she starts to smile, (yeah)
Realized she hadn't for a while.
No destination, she drove for miles
Wondering why she stayed in such denial.

She was laughing about the way he shattered something else (shattered something else)
To drag her suitcase down the path,
To the driveway (to the driveway),
She had never gone that far (oh, no)
Normally this would be, the time that she (yeah)
Would let him talk her out of leaving, but this time, without crying,
As she got into her car, she said,

[Chorus:]
"No
'Happily Never After'
That just ain't for me
(that just ain't for me)
Because finally,
I know I deserve better
After all
(that just ain't for me, yeah, yeah yeah, yeah)
I'll never let another teardrop fall."

I'm done, I'm done, said I'm so done, (so done, yeah).
I'm free, I'm free, so free
Free to feel the way I feel, yeah.

She inhales a breath she'd never breathed before
Don't want no drama no more.

'Cause she says " No
'Happily Never After' (after)
That just ain't for me" (oh, oh)

[Chorus:]
"I know (I know)
I deserve, better after all (ooooh, don't wanna be, breathe)
I know I'll never let another teardrop fall"
(I'm done, I'm done)
"No
'Happily Never After' (so done)
(I'm free, I, free)
That just ain't for me" (that just ain't for me)
Because finally,
I know (I'm done, I'm done) I deserve better (so done), after all
(I'm free, I'm free)/(ooooooooo)
I'll never let another teardrop fall"

[trailing vocals]
"I'm done, I'm done, I'm done",
"I'm done, so done, so done"

Said I'm done, I'm done, I'm done

I got an email today from a friend, who is based in Singapore. The email showed the following footnotes:

AND NOW A LITTLE FOOTNOTE TO THIS STORY: We all send thousands of jokes through the e-mail without a second thought, but when it comes to sending messages about life choices, people hesitate. The crude , vulgar, and often obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion about decency is too often suppressed in our schools and workplaces.

Honestly, I didn't forward this email to my contacts in my email address book, I've posted the entire story instead. So if you think you should copy and paste this and send to your contacts, I would truly feel blessed. It's a very inspiring story that's too good not to share.

At a fund-raising dinner for a school that serves learning-disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question: 'When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?'

The audience was stilled by the query.

The father continued. 'I believe that when a child like Shay, physically and mentally handicapped comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.'

Then he told the following story:

Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, 'Do you think they'll let me play?' Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.

Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, 'We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning.'

Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. His Father watched with a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart. The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.

At this juncture, do the y let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.

However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.

The game would now be over. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.

Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's he ad! , out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, 'Shay, run to first! Run to first!' Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.

Everyone yelled, 'Run to second, run to second!' Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball ... the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team. He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.

All were screaming, 'Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay' Shay reached third base because the op posing  short stop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, 'Run to third! Shay, run to third!'

As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, 'Shay, run home! Run home!' Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team.

'That day', said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, 'the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world'.

Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making his father so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!

I've watched the play with my colleagues from BPO Movie Nights and BPO Education. Honestly, I was not satisfied at all because of the following reasons:

* though I was in the middle, I was seated at the last row (U -225)
** i got so cold because i forgot to bring a jacket
*** the audience clapped every after scene portrayed (arhg!)

Anyway, the performance of Karylle was commendable. She had kept the Puerto Rican accent from start to finish. Nothing much to say about Christian Bautista.

Happiness as defined by dictionary.com is the quality or state of being happy, which is synonymous to good fortune; pleasure; contentment; joy.

Why am I writing about happiness? Simple. I am happy. Yes, it may not show, but I am happy! Thank God for the gift of friends, love, family, and of course for Ysabelle, my little one. She just turned one (1) yesterday.  A year had passed, new challenges await ahead. I never imagined that I could afford to face all the trials as a single-mom. Life is bittersweet, but above all, it's the happiness at the end of the day. It feels so good when you go home with hugs and kisses , tickles and giggles from an angel.

Above all these, I would never endure all the pain that trials bring without God, and without my family and friends who continue to support me. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Words are not enough to show you how grateful I am to have you guys in my life.. in my daughter's life. You always show your love and understanding. Yes, I may be a mess sometimes, but you continue to be there for me and accept me. You have made my journey comfortable despite of the bumpy roads all along the way.

To my daughter, I know you will have the chance to read this entry when you grow up. Let me tell you that YOU ARE SPECIAL and COMPLETE with my LOVE and with the love of everybody around you. You are the source of my strength, and please know that I will be there for you no matter what. I love you so much , and nothing/no one can ever break us apart.
